On September 15, 2026, Susan Aziz and Kevin Sundstrom described how Delphi, which builds digital minds, ships on Vercel. Founding engineer Spencer Schoeben emphasized needing excellent developer and agentic experience. The frontend ran on Vercel from day one; about six months ago the team rebuilt its Python backend on Vercel after onboarding pain with AWS, ECS, Docker, and a local database.
With 10 engineers and no dedicated infra role, Delphi does 100+ production deploys a day behind feature flags, and product and design ship too. Workflows handle long-running work and Queues handle background jobs: engineers write functions in the codebase and Vercel provisions them on deploy. Preview deployments make cloud agents' work reviewable via a live URL; agents use the SDK, MCP, and CLI. An internal Sandbox agent supports customer success over Slack, and chat traffic goes through AI Gateway with per-mind model routing and failover.
